What is the cutting edge of healing? It’s in learning the principles Jesus teaches and applying them without exception. Explore the ACIM healing principle that you can only offer the world either a gift of lilies, or a crown of thorns. Only these two options. These two states of mind are really all that you can offer the world. What’s your state of mind? Awareness of this takes mind training.
Without mind training, we have no idea what we are offering beyond the words. We’re clueless until we start to see clearly the subtleties of the ego and its defense mechanisms.
When you judge another body, whether positively or negatively, you are looking through the ego’s lens. You’re offering a crown of thorns! That means that when you see another body and judge it to be beautiful, or spiritual, or useless, or anything, be it positive or negative, you’re believing that there is a body that is not you. With mind training, you question and let go of this belief.
You offer the world your state of mind. Where in your life do you try to deny this divine principle? Where do you protest, and say, “Yes, but?” Where do you hesitate? That’s where the transformation of consciousness can happen!
What will heal the world? Stillness! Stillness will heal the world. Words reflect what is already in the mind. The words are not causative. The words do not cause you to change. They are reflections of something that is already inside of you, that you’ve called upon! Teachers of God demonstrate an attitude. In A Course in Miracles, Jesus says that a teacher of God can heal the world with out a sound! The sounds are reflections of what is already in the mind. The words that you read or hear are reflections of what you have called upon in yourself.
“What are you offering? A gift of lilies or a crown of thorns? Those are the only options that are available. The range is set. Nothing in between, nothing else. Just purely that simple: a gift of lilies or a crown of thorns. With that, it becomes apparent that in order to have a transformation of consciousness or a transformation of perception, it would take the practical application of that teaching without exception. Don’t make exceptions. That is going to require a letting go of everything. Even letting go of the most basic beliefs.”
