What if you didn’t believe in money? True generosity is a giving heart; it’s really a state of mind of being loving, joyful, and happy. It has nothing to do with what we describe and define generosity to be in terms of the material world.
“What about a state of mind where you didn’t really believe in money? Where the Spirit could use it as part of the dance, but you didn’t believe that it was anything positive or negative, it was just part of the dance. It was like leaves blowing in the wind, you weren’t looking at the leaves blowing in the wind and thinking, ‘Oh, that’s gain over there and that’s loss over there.’ Could you imagine how crazy that is if you had a tree with hundreds of leaves and suddenly there’s a big gust of wind that comes and blows several hundred leaves off the tree—do you really think the tree is going, ‘Oh my, I’m so sad. I’ve just lost 300 leaves?’ Do you really think the tree is thinking that it has lost 300 leaves? Now, human beings seem to believe in this thing of gain-and-loss and reciprocity and scarcity, but again, those are ego beliefs. They are not the one law of Love, the law of God. That’s why we have to relinquish, that’s why we have to let go of believing in those things.”
