David Hoffmeister offers a teaching session with participants in Waiwera, New Zealand at a retreat. This gathering exposed the underpinnings of private thoughts and the need to realize their falsity for healing to be experienced.

“We’ve talked about different challenges and struggles that appear on the spiritual journey, and I think it is important to have an awareness of the basis that there is an underlying fear of waking up.

This is a dream world, but the mind has become so accustomed to the dream world—the dream has become so familiar—that the dream seems like it is reality. Conversely, true light has become a forgotten memory, or something that has been completely pushed out of awareness.

That’s a context why there seems to be so much fear while we are going through this waking-up process. There is a terror of letting go of the familiar that this world has now become. So, now the Holy Spirit has to turn the tables, so to speak, to bring around a reversal.”
