In a very practical way, we can apply the miracle to physical symptoms. As Jesus teaches in “A Course in Miracles,” Lesson 136, “Sickness is a defense against the truth.” (W-136) The real question to ponder is whether I want to experience the sickness or whether I want to experience the Christ. It takes a very deep tracing inwards of thoughts in order to see how it must be one or the other, but this kind of deep inner looking is well worth it!

Health and Sickness 30+ mins, Beliefs and Concepts, Consciousness, Education, Ego, Guilt, Holy Spirit, Judgments, Mind, Real Thoughts, Sickness, Theory vs Experience, Words
Everything that you see in this world is a motion picture of our mind. If you believe you are alive on this planet, you’re living in a dream. Everything you see in this world is part of the matrix, the dream. If we want to know the truth about ourselves, we need to go within. Like Neo in the movie, “The Matrix,” we sense that something is not quite right with the world and we want to know the truth.
Money 10–30 mins, Career and Work, Dedication and Devotion, Listen and Follow, Mind Training, Money and Finances, Purification, Service, Theory vs Experience
The ego wants to highjack your spiritually. Moment to moment, attend to your forgiveness practice, not to form. It is always your lesson. You cannot have a spiritual career. Dis-identify with possessions. Purification of thought and obedience to Spirit are the goal. There is no sacrifice involved.
The body is a projection. Does Spirit inhabit the body? No. Ego animated life is like a Disney cartoon. It has no life; it is just quickly flickering images. Remember Pinocchio? He wanted to be a “real boy;” to think he had autonomy. It’s as though we decide to go back to letting the body be “God’s puppet”—let Him “pull the strings” instead of trying to make the body a real concern for us. How shall I use this body? What is it for? Only for communicating Love; to let the Voice for God speak through it. This could sound really boring to the ego.
Relationships < 5 mins, Control, Creation and Extension, Mind Training, Special Relationship, Theory vs Experience
Be free of the whole control construct: the belief that you can control or be controlled. Through giving and extending, the control concept is rinsed away. In the Text of “A Course in Miracles,” Jesus poses the question: “Do you want freedom of the body or of the mind? For both you cannot have. Which do you value? Which is your goal?” (T-22.1) This question is so direct and you might decide that you want freedom of the mind. But what is freedom of the mind? David Hoffmeister shares that when you engage in mind training, you can see the control concept clearly.
Inspiration 10–30 mins, Consistent Experience, Education, Miracles, Purpose, Reflections, Theory vs Experience, True Strength
How do we become spiritually strong? David Hoffmeister shares on this topic. To grow implies a process, and a process seems to witness that we are not already that! Non-dual/ACIM teachings point to an experience of our true Identity. While we are identified with weakness and fear it is impossible to have the awareness of our spiritual strength. As the mind opens up to its true Identity, the “how to” is given. Everything that you perceive in this world, without exception, is a motion picture of your mind.
Trust 5–10 mins, Contentment and Happiness, God-Dependence, Guidance, Miracles, Purpose, Readiness and Willingness, Theory vs Experience, Time and Space, True Freedom, Trust
The idea of effortless Awakening takes a total thought-reversal. You come from a mentality of “work hard and earn it.” You think you must plan, prepare, and scheme. If you want something, you have to figure out how to get it. When you carry this mentality into the awakening experience you experience guilt and anxiety. Did I do enough? Did I do it quickly enough, well enough? Will I ever be able to do it? We can let go of this old training!
