How to Be a Mystic – Mystic David Hoffmeister talks about the importance of seeing what you value and whether it’s more important than remembering the Love of God. Becoming a mystic means valuing the Love of God above all else and releasing all worldly forms, desires, and expectations in order to live a simple life of mysticism.
State of Mind
What If You Didn’t Believe in Money?
What if you didn’t believe in money? True generosity is a giving heart; it’s really a state of mind of being loving, joyful, and happy, and it has nothing to do with what we describe and define generosity to be in terms of the material world.
An Uncompromising Path to God (Part 3)
David Hoffmeister has been teaching the principals found in ACIM for many years. He has been uncompromising in his practice of what the Course teaches. Because of his uncompromising approach, he is now a living demonstration of the Awakened Mind. As “A Course in Miracles” states: “You will learn this Course completely or not at all.” This series of videos recorded at the Kalani retreat center in Hawaii helps one to understand some of the steps required to awaken to the clear and beautiful state that the Course describes as the Christ Mind. Enjoy!

Commercialization of Holiness
Kalani Retreat 2010. David goes into how the ego distorts the symbols of holiness.
Mystical Experiences
Mystical euphoria is sometimes followed by a disorienting, even shattering, “re-entry.” With mind training practice a peaceful state is progressively maintained. Then experiences that were formerly experienced as fearful are given new meaning and experienced as fun.
Experience and State of Mind
Spirituality has to be practical. We don’t really need another theology. We’re here to have an experience. A Course in Miracles says an experience will come to end your doubting. In heaven there are no concepts, but one concept that is still helpful while we are here is forgiveness. There is no thought of forgiveness in heaven; God does not forgive for he has never condemned. There must be condemnation first before forgiveness is necessary. The ego is a wish to be separate from God and forgiveness is a healing wish. Everything is mind. The question always comes down to, “What do you want?”
Forms of Spiritual Guidance
Guidance can come in the form of feelings, intuitions, words, streams of thought, signs and symbols in the world like billboards and bumper stickers, opening ACIM as an oracle, other books, music playing in restaurants or on the car radio, dreams, journalling, art, and more! Gradually you link into a glorious flow that draws you inward. Synchronicities show that it’s all just reflections of thought. Take the limits off. Pay attention and stay open.
One Responsibility – State of Mind
David Hoffmeister talks about the need to let the Holy Spirit undo the ego and its false “responsibilities” by developing trust in the Holy Spirit.
True Generosity
True generosity is the opposite of how it is perceived in the world and cannot be defined in material terms. A true teacher of God does not want anything that cannot be given away as everything that is given away is strengthened in himself.
