Perfect happiness is God’s Will. Human beings don’t have free will. Resurrection is of the mind; it is not dependent on time or the body, but on willingness and readiness. The world reflects the desire of the mind. If we desire something other than God, it’s impossible to know our true nature. We must empty the mind of false desires for things and relationships in the world.
Special Relationship
Self Acceptance
It is exhausting to try to be perfect all of the time. Self acceptance is very relaxing. You can give up the need to be important, well liked, more intelligent, or better looking. Get off of the treadmill of self-improvement! Instead, expose all of the subtle secrets that the ego tries to keep. The secrets hide your true identity from you. Your true identity is already perfect! Your identity is beyond the forms in this world. Your identity is Spirit. You were created perfect, beautiful, and innocent. There is no need to improve a thing about yourself. Relax into self acceptance. Give yourself over to the miracle.
What Is the Purpose of Relationships?
In “A Course in Miracles,” Jesus shares a question that we would do well to ask ourself in any situation in which we are uncertain: “What do I want to come of this? What is it FOR?” (T-26.IV.2.1) This question forms a logical thought trail in the mind to follow inwards, first towards recognizing whatever motives the ego had for the situation; and then secondly to help reconnect us with our True Purpose of Inner Peace. Joined in this shared Purpose, it can be seen that the ego’s motives for everything and everyone are actually quite humorous. Ask yourself, what is the purpose of relationships? What do I want to come out of this relationship in particular? What is it FOR?
When to End a Relationship That’s Special
When should you end a relationship? As you grow spiritually and take the limits off your consciousness, you outgrow interpersonal special relationships much as a child outgrows toys. You experience peace and no longer need to have past grievances acted out. Everyone becomes your family and you feel deep connectedness.
Does Spiritual Awakening Change Relationships?
Does spiritual awakening change relationships? As you move along a path of spiritual practice, what happens to interpersonal relationships? Another way to ask these questions is: Do you think in terms of persons and bodies? As your perception shifts, you get to a turning point where you see that you can let go of everything you believe is true. The scariest thing for the ego is for us to start opening up to the Spiritual Vision of Christ which takes us past the body and interpersonal relationships entirely. The Holy Spirit is taking us to a whole different perception of everything and everyone that we perceive; a way of opening to a deep intimacy to feel that deep Love that we’ve always known is there, a Love that includes everyone.
Family Roles and Control
Family roles seem to involve hierarchy, but Jesus teaches equality through “A Course in Miracles.” With mind training, parents learn their role is completed. The hierarchy of control is over. Teenagers act out the private mind so you can see it. As you let go of seeing it as a personal attack, you can see it as a call for love.
What about Sexual Relationships?
Freedom is only in mind. What does that mean for sexual relationships? Minds can join, bodies cannot. This is the proof that the body does not exist at all. You cannot achieve anything with the body. Therefore, seek not outside yourself for you will fail and you will weep each time an idol falls. Even companionship points out that you believe you are alone unless you are with another body. Companionship is a defense against the truth. Am I going to use the mirroring for emptying my mind from everything I believe? For there is the one true purpose in which things are used in the most helpful way.
