False empathy is wrong-mindedness or an attempt to yield to temptation. In the human mask-wearing condition, it seems natural to empathize with erroneous thinking. Self-concept ideas must all be let go of. True empathy identifies with the Christ-self and aligns with the truth, freedom, and joy of the Holy Spirit.
Relationships 10–30 mins, Beliefs and Concepts, Family, Possession and Ownership, Projection, Quantum Physics, Roles, Sacrifice, True Forgiveness
The world is projected concepts and beliefs. Jesus is calling you out of the belief system of the world. We are invested in our self-concept, part of which may include being a parent. So the Holy Spirit slowly unwinds us from those identifications. The concepts are unreal. Quantum physics proves that there is no world apart from what you think. Put your effort into letting go and forgiving what you think you know.

Relationships 5–10 mins, Assignments, Bringing Illusions to Truth, Family, Guidance, Holy Relationship, Mind Training, Purpose, Roles, Self-Concept
The guidance of the Holy Spirit is always beneficial to everyone. Assignments are teaching-learning opportunities. The whole point of the mind training is to let go of everything you think you know about form and come into an experience of the content of love in your heart. The more you are concerned about content the less you are concerned with the form. The ego set up very rigid roles. The concepts and illusions need to be brought to the light, and the purpose of assignments is to come into more expansive states of mind and broader self-concepts that approach forgiveness.

When we try to compare romantic relationships vs. holy relationships, we have to be willing to expose everything and be true to ourselves. Romantic relationships are based on mutual need-fulfillment, on the “getting” mechanism. It keeps us in a closed state of mind, cut off from the greater love. Holy relationships are undefined, guided, and collaborative. Personal differences are set aside. They are dedicated to a higher purpose and are intensely joyful.

Dismantling the ego is a journey that is guided by by the Holy Spirit. To the ego, the dismantling seems to be a big threat. But it is not an ending, it is an opening. You are opening to a completely new way of being. You enter into the journey with out any clue of where the path will lead. It’s like a ride at an amusement park where the floor keeps dropping out, free-falling until there is nothing left to grasp. At times many memories surface, childhood memories, dark closets, closed doors. It is about opening these doors until there is nothing left.

Reading meaning into form can be a huge block to love’s presence. The second lesson in “A Course in Miracles” is, “I have given everything I see all the meaning it has for me.” (W-2) The ego reads different meanings into everything and judges certain things as good or worthy and others as bad or unworthy. To the Holy Spirit all things are the same because they’re all used for the same purpose: forgiveness! Jesus teaches us that everything is of the mind. By tracing our perception of the world back into the beliefs we hold about it, we can see that we’ve got it all backwards and we really don’t know what anything is for without the Holy Spirit’s vision.
Relationships 5–10 mins, Guilt, Mind Training, Reflections, Roles, Theory vs Experience, True Forgiveness, True Joy
Stop playing the guilt game as there is never any need for regrets! Regret is thought’s futile attempt to alter the past. People around us reflect back to us what we believe. When we let go, forgive, the whole world lights up and joy and innocence become our experience.
