Be willing to listen to and follow your Internal Teacher, the Holy Spirit, and you will be led as gently as if you were being carried down a quiet path in summer. Jesus, who was a devoted follower of the Holy Spirit, accepted the Atonement for himself and then became the leader in charge of the Atonement. He tells us, “if you will be a miracle worker for me, I will organize time and space for you.” That means you don’t have to do “this and that” first. If you are willing and ready, you are being called now.
Presence
Trust the Holy Spirit’s Voice
The Course goes far beyond an intellectual endeavor. It is a course in relinquishing every concept that we have ever held and opening to a deep trust that Spirit will guide and lead us. We can’t trust our past learning, our opinions, or our past experience, for these were made by the ego. Nor can we trust Newtonian empirical research, which is also an egoic projection based on the belief in an external world. Yet we can trust the Holy Spirit, Who will lovingly unwind our mind from every self-concept and limiting belief we ever held. By choosing to hear and follow His Voice alone, we will gradually awaken to Love’s Presence and be happy.
Asking Real Questions
You are not limited by time and space. So, you might be left with the question, “Am I even really here?” It can seem that way. You need a guide. And it is important to ask Him real questions, questions that do not start from the assumption that the ego illusion is real. Loosen your consciousness, ask deeper questions, and you will be freely answered.
No Compromise
David shares the practical application of the teachings from Enlightened Mind in this session. When you are healed you are not healed alone. Examples and parables are used to convey the central teaching of forgiveness and other A Course in Miracles ideas.
Meditation and Holy Instant
Meditation is generally considered as an activity on the timeline, to still the mind. In reality it’s not an activity. Release time-related concepts such as preparation. Empty your mind. You can only desire the holy instant. Give yourself over to the desire for the peace of God.
Becoming Passersby
Empty the mind of concepts. The mind is the classroom. Spirit will use many different backdrops for mind training. The goal is to be able to watch the world without having investment in it, to become a passer-by.

Introductory Talk (Part 2)
David welcomes a group at the start of a weekend retreat and gives an overview of the spiritual journey. Another Way of Seeing
Rather than emphasize the parts, we begin to think in terms of the whole. Because the Holy Spirit is in our mind, we can see expansively that it is all one.
True Empathy and Releasing the Blocks to Love
David Hoffmeister shares a message about staying with what is true and releasing everything else from consciousness. This ACIM gathering was hosted at the Temple of Peace in Maui, Hawaii. Witnessing the state of Enlightenment is most natural.
