Simple healing! “A Course in Miracles” is an answer to the mind that is asking for healing. It is very direct. Jesus says the same thing repeatedly and in many different ways. The world is a hallucination, but that’s not even the problem! The problem isn’t the world. The problem is your mistaken perception of the world. You can see the world in a new way with the Holy Spirit. ACIM daily lessons are the laboratory in which your healing work will take place. The Holy Spirit will give you everything you need for your healing. Carry your lesson like a torch through the day, knowing that every thing that comes into your awareness will help you in your Awakening. There may seem to be millions of complex problems with many accompanying decisions, but the only choice is in your mind. It is the choice between reality and unreality coming to you in many disguises.

Practical application of “A Course in Miracles” begins with a step similar to that of a twelve-step program. First you must see that there is a problem. Acknowledge your perceptual problem, your hallucination, schizophrenia, and psychosis. The mind needs healing. Expose your dark thoughts, beliefs, and interpretations and the Holy Spirit will heal them. Work through the Instrument for Peace in the book “Awakening through A Course in Miracles.”

During a Google Hangout, David Hoffmeister shares about his new book, “Unwind Your Mind Back to God: Experiencing A Course in Miracles.” It’s all about thinking the right thing rather than doing the right thing.

The further we follow the spiritual path, we see that everything is mind. We see everything in the world as aspects of what is within as thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and concepts. Therefore, if we see a problem, we don’t try to fix it out on the screen. That would be impossible. Rather, we go to our mind with Spirit to find the root of the seeming problem. Once we see the “cause” then we can ask for it to be removed for us. This is Spirit’s job. The result is a clearing, a shift in mind, a miracle. This is always joyful. Feeling joy, we don’t have an expectation or outcome of the form in mind. Nevertheless, form always reflects that change in mind. This is how powerful the mind is. It is more powerful than we know.

Do you ever have the thought, “I feel like I’m getting nowhere” or, “What is the point of all of this?” You are recognizing that you’ve got amnesia! The addiction of time and all its imaginings made a seeming escape so deceiving we’ve forgotten the original separation! The Holy Spirit is the only one that can lift us out of the maze. It’s not always pretty as we are weened off our drug. But the Holy Spirit’s way is through teaching us that joy can be seen as the constant, even if we still think we are not quite there yet. David Hoffmeister suggests we need a support group for linear time addiction, just as someone addicted to a drug needs support. “Hi, my name is so-and-so, and I believe I am a linear being!”
