On the question of education, the deepest truest goal is consistent peace of mind. For decades, education has been seen as the answer to all the world’s problems. It hasn’t worked. Jesus says that you have over-learned an impossible lesson. You have taught yourself that you are separate from God and you perpetuate this. If you were a teacher and you gave a child an impossible learning goal, that would be cruel. A goal that could never be accomplished. It would ensure learning failure. The ego is an impossible learning goal. It is a goal of separation. If you continue with this you will never have peace of mind. And so we need to unlearn the thought systems of the world and anything that would perpetuate the separation. David gives an example of his grandmother who was diagnosed with dementia and seemingly remembered almost nothing but was very happy.
Inner Peace
Transform Your Life
Empty your mind of past guilt and of goals for the future. When your only goal is the peace of God, your life transforms. You are worthy of a miracle. You are ready for the joy of a guided life.
Introductory Talk, Part 1
David welcomes a group at the start of a weekend retreat and gives an overview of the spiritual journey. Topics include: removing grievances, judgments, and attack thoughts from the mind and being grateful; placing faith in the Holy Spirit to find peace of mind; the nature of problems; stepping back and opening to guidance/intuition.
Live in Divine Providence
Although the world tries to teach you otherwise, it is possible to live completely in divine providence. Lesson 50 of “A Course in Miracles” is “I am sustained by the Love of God.” (W-50) In that lesson, Jesus tells us that “In this world, you believe you are sustained by everything but God.” (W-50.1:2) By following the Holy Spirit’s prompts, we begin to trust that we will be divinely provided for in every circumstance.
The Lord Is My Shepherd
When you decide upon the form of what you want, you loose the understanding of its purpose. Happiness does not come from wanting. Wanting and desiring comes from lack. In a state of perfect Oneness, there are no wants or desires because it is perfect fulfillment.
