David Hoffmeister speaks to a group in Newcastle, Australia, and shares that our presence is sacred, though no individual person, place, or thing is sacred. David continues with the idea of true giving, which knows no lack.
From Darkness to Light
Addressing Purpose in NYC Gathering
David Hoffmeister speaks of releasing past associations, the ego’s familiarity with the past and its “known” world, and opening to a new purpose.
Noosa Gathering
This talk elaborates on the metaphysics and trust required to escape from the dream of separation. This discussion followed a showing of the movie “The Island” and deals with topics such as the nothingness of the body and the need to unveil and expose the core belief in the “reality” of the projected cosmos/world.
Phases of Awakening
At first, forgiveness seems to deal with specifics, as if something in the world had a real cause and effect. It may seem that something you thought you had forgiven reappears. This is an opportunity to go deeper in the mind to get at the very root of the seeming problem. One begins to see there is only one problem and one solution, not many differing problems. This is the good news!
Two Hands Kneading
Expose your thoughts and feeling on the one hand. Be used in function by the Spirit on the other.
Using Words as Denial: The Misuse of A Course in Miracles
David Hoffmeister is asked about the ego and the defense of simply attempting to use words to deny the “reality” of the world. David talks about how unconscious beliefs must be undone and how it is important to go through the darkness to the light.
Reflections of Love
David Hoffmeister shares how important it is to let the dark feelings arise in awareness so they can be released. What follows from mind training is the healing experience of inner peace and reflections of love in perception. David shares some of his miracles parables about the man behind the counter at McDonald’s and the holy encounter at the Midas Muffler shop.
Projection and Clearing the Mind
This clip, from the final day of the May/June 2010 retreat at the Living Miracles Monastery, talks about projection and how it is necessary to allow the darkness to come up in order for it to be shone away. From this clear place, the light can shine through and the miracle can be extended.
Perception Is Selective
Instead of focusing on the body, put your attention on joining, connecting. The ego-mind looks for problems to solve; the whole world is a mirror of this mind searching and exaggerating the problem instead of the solution (joining). A succession of personality identities will be revealed; even “teacher of God” or the “saint” are masks. We must keep unveiling until all is exposed and we have moved completely into the light. Always be authentic and guidance for the next step will be there.
