The plan is always now and the plan is forgiveness. When we focus our attention on this single purpose, anything is possible. The Course teaches that in this illusion of time and space, there is only one tool that will lead us to salvation, and that is forgiveness. This in turn leads to the Holy Instant.
Do you think that feeling resistance on the spiritual path is wrong? What if it is really progress? If you truly do not know your advances from your retreats, how could you be sure of what is wrong or right? Jesus teaches that resistance is the ego’s interpretation of progress and growth. Reassess your judgment of any part of the healing and how it appears. Experiencing resistance on the spiritual path is just a misinterpretation of the feeling of being reeled in to truth.
A woman who killed a bird while driving her car asks, “How to let go of the guilt?” The ego world is complex and meaningless. The dream the ego made is designed to be so complex that there will be a pervasive and suffocating feeling of being trapped in a very crazy place. You are not afraid of a bad and hostile world. The thing that scares you the most is meaninglessness. You’ll even make up good and bad to avoid meaninglessness. Yet the deeper you start to go down and expose more layers, the more you’ll see this meaninglessness. But eventually you’ll come to a point of surrender. You can’t figure out what anything means. In fact the only escape is to have all meaning over to Holy Spirit.
The script is written. Only with the ego does time move from past to future. To the Holy Spirit, time is simultaneous. With forgiveness your perception gets lighter and lighter. The undoing of linear time can be disorienting. The Course is about training your mind to become aware of dreaming, which is empowering.
David Hoffmeister and the Messengers of Peace travel and offer “A Course in Miracles” and Enlightenment gatherings around the world.
Jesus talks about the fragmented ego’s world, in which the ego wants you dead. “A Course in Miracles” Lesson 128 says, “The world I see holds nothing that I want.” Forgive it. He also talks about the real world, the happy dream. Lesson 129 says, “Beyond this world there is a world I want.” We need Spirit’s help to heal our perception and see the forgiven world.
David Hoffmeister shares the wisdom of a state of mind some call Enlightenment. He speaks at a retreat in Mallorca, Spain and reveals that perception is the projection of an inward condition. The body and brain and world and feelings are all projections of thoughts, and everything begins and ends in consciousness. The mind is literally teaching itself and this teaching is of the mind and not the bodies. Everything that seems to be an external cause is only an unreal effect.
We want to experience peace. We want to reduce stress and worry in our lives. But how? In this clip, David Hoffmeister shares on letting go of the illusion of control and sinking into divine Grace. The ego seeks to demonstrate that it is the author of itself by working, planning, and controlling as many “personal” aspects of life as possible. But doing each “must” and “have to” is highly stressful. The alternative to attempting to control things is to relax into divine Grace.
The special relationship is a futile attempt to complete your self by adding another self. But completion can only be found within your mind. Your relationship mirrors what is in your mind. Does it serve the purpose of projection and blame? Or do you use it to help you identify your own feelings, thoughts, and beliefs so you can turn them over to the Holy Spirit?
