The mind that is lost in darkness needs an experience of divine Love to know that there is hope. “A Course in Miracles” is a powerful tool used to witness the light that Jesus brings to the world. We can shine our way out of hell, if we let Spirit make the rescue. It’s a journey of letting go of everything that seems to be interpreted through our five senses, because they are extremely unreliable witnesses, and choosing instead to see our brothers and sisters as innocent. Spirit sees only the truth of our innocence.
Face of Innocence
Looking beneath the Ego Sugarcoating
Love is inevitable! You can’t mess it up! As you go beneath the ego sugarcoating you can expect to become self-critical. The ACIM healing process is lead by the Spirit. The ego doesn’t know the way to the light; it doesn’t want to get to the light. Let the Holy Spirit lead the way. You are here to clear the underlying ontological guilt. Let the Holy Spirit guide you and unwind you in the process of regaining your happiness.
Undoing Linear Time (Short Clip)
“A Course in Miracles” (ACIM) teaches that time is simultaneous. To show the concept of linear time, David Hoffmeister uses a spaghetti string, a noodle. He says that we are like a fish out of water. Or, “a spirit out of spirit—on a noodle!” A spirit who has forgotten spirit and is on a noodle now; that’s pretty difficult. So, if you have had struggles and difficulties in your life, it’s not even surprising, because of the mind’s belief in time. In ACIM, Jesus says that the world was made as an attack upon God. Why would God send you to a world that was made as an attack upon God? That would be mean! Some people may say, “I didn’t ask to be here.” The answer to that is that everyone who believes they are in time asked to be here.
The Outer World Is a Reflection
The seeming outer world is a reflection of the mind’s beliefs. Wow! Think about that for a minute! Everything in the perceived dream world is a reflection of thought. Since the unconscious ego is a death wish, it is not surprising that there seem to be so many atrocities in the world: rape, murder, war. Underneath the horror of these apparent atrocities is an even deeper horror: the idea that we could have permanently separated from our divine Creator.
Exposing the Tiny Mad Idea
The belief that you could separate from Source and accomplish insanity is the “tiny mad idea” that Jesus talks about in “A Course in Miracles.” The mind, in reality, cannot accomplish this. The belief that you could separate from Source is a horrific idea. It’s mad. It’s insane! The belief that you are a separate consciousness takes a lot of active denying, pushing out, and repressing because it is so intolerable to your mind. Your natural state is unified, peaceful, and loving.
