David visits the Miracles Healing Center and shares an Enlightenment talk. The living demonstration of lesson 135 of the Workbook of “A Course In Miracles” (ACIM).
Living with Purpose 5–10 mins, Expectations, Grievances, Listen and Follow, Non-Compromise, Readiness and Willingness, Reciprocity, Trust, Undoing the Ego, Victimhood
David Hoffmeister has been teaching the principals found in ACIM for many years. He has been uncompromising in his practice of what the Course teaches. Because of his uncompromising approach, he is now a living demonstration of the Awakened Mind. As “A Course in Miracles” states: “You will learn this Course completely or not at all.” This series of videos recorded at the Kalani retreat center in Hawaii helps one to understand some of the steps required to awaken to the clear and beautiful state that the Course describes as the Christ Mind. Enjoy!
Inspiration 5–10 mins, Accepting Correction, Expectations, Love, Purpose, Spirit-Invitation, Spiritual Vision
Jesus says that the Holy Spirit’s lessons begin with, “To have, give all to all.” (ACIM, T-6.V.A) This parable by David Hoffmeister is a wonderful demonstration of this lesson as it plays out in his encounters with friends, Mary and Steve. As always, David offers so much love, wisdom, and humor as the Spirit just pours through him.
Inspiration 5–10 mins, Beliefs and Concepts, Expectations, Forgiven World, Giving and Receiving, Judgments, Love, Making Decisions, Unwinding from the World
David Hoffmeister and the Messengers of Peace travel and offer “A Course in Miracles” and Enlightenment gatherings around the world.
Inspiration 5–10 mins, Control, Divine Providence, Ego, Expectations, Fear, Inspiration, Miracle Worker, Mystical Experiences, Possession and Ownership, Readiness and Willingness, True Joy, Trust
You can live from inspiration by becoming a miracle worker. Trust Spirit and everything needed to convey the message is provided. In the beginning the ego resists being let go. Then it feels very natural.
Inspiration 5–10 mins, Contentment and Happiness, Expectations, Money and Finances, Purpose, Symbols, True Freedom, Worthiness
In this gathering in Toowoomba, Australia, David explores the question of one’s life purpose. He shares the teaching that it is not that you ask for too much of life, you ask for far too little. David shares a parable about his Australian friend Les, who has called upon Spirit for answers and received all that he asked for.
Intuitively follow your joy and inspiration like in the 1929 movie “You Can’t Take It with You.” It’s all through attraction. Nothing can limit your happiness or take your fun away. You have the power to laugh at anything. When things are not fun, drop them.
Guidance 30+ mins, Anger, Attack Thoughts, Expectations, God-Dependence, Guidance, Hierarchy, Hypotheticals, Identity Confusion, Judgments, Questioning, Unified Perception, Victimhood
In this “A Course in Miracles” (ACIM) retreat at the end of summer of 2008, David discusses some of the deepest themes in the teachings and application of the principles of ACIM: judgment and guidance. What is judgment, and how does the Holy Spirit use discernment to lead the mind to its escape from specifics and back to Heaven?
Stress and Worry 5–10 mins, Expectations, Meditation, Miracles, Obstacles, Roles, Spiritual Journey, Stillness, True Freedom
In this clip, David Hoffmeister has been asked about meditation. He says that “A Course in Miracles” is a pathway to meditation. The Course is designed to remove any obstacles to peace that are in the mind. This leads perfectly into being able to meditate without the “monkey mind” and all its distractions. The latter part of this talk introduces the idea of living from inspiration and not doing things merely from a sense of obligation. Here, true peace and freedom is found. “What is meditation?” is a question many people ask. This video answers the questions: “How do I meditate?” and “How can I get into a state of relaxation through meditating using the ‘A Course in Miracles’ Workbook?” Being in a state of mindfulness deepens the meditative state and gives a sense of stress relief.
