False empathy, or care-taking, is generally seen as being nice and good, but it is part of the ego’s death wish. When you give yourself over to Spirit, your perception of what is truly helpful will change. You come to see that you were engaged in trying to save people. It is deception. True empathy is aligning with what is true, bringing it back to your mind, paying attention to your feelings, and not taking on anything false. You no longer care about others’ reactions. You become happy for no earthly reason.
Deception
Icons, Images, and Identities
Icons, images, and identities such as Jesus and Buddha are held very personally in the separated mind. Even these universal metaphors need to be released from the limited ways in which we think of them so that we are not offended by another’s identifications, pictures, or associations with them. Have you ever felt embarrassed about discussing Jesus in public? Have you ever felt afraid to curse, as if you might upset an anthropomorphous god?
Special and Family Relationships
The identities we have on earth are personalities. Persona comes from the Latin word to wear a mask. So all human beings are Christ masquerading as human beings. As you awaken you realize that you never really had a mother or father. And if you have concerns about biological family relationships, that is still your ego believing in suffering. When you listen to the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit tells you that suffering is a call for love.
What about Sexual Relationships?
Freedom is only in mind. What does that mean for sexual relationships? Minds can join, bodies cannot. This is the proof that the body does not exist at all. You cannot achieve anything with the body. Therefore, seek not outside yourself for you will fail and you will weep each time an idol falls. Even companionship points out that you believe you are alone unless you are with another body. Companionship is a defense against the truth. Am I going to use the mirroring for emptying my mind from everything I believe? For there is the one true purpose in which things are used in the most helpful way.
