The light in the mind is like molten lava pushing up through the crust of consciousness. It is just erupting in the mind, and once you realize that that is what is going on, you can just give in to the light. It does not have to take a long time; we are here to save time and bring the alpha and the omega together in one beautiful holy instant, and there is nothing that can stop us.
Contentment and Happiness
The happy dream is a dream of non-judgment. People organize their lives based on false belief systems. Forgiveness is a belief system that swallows all of them up. When you experience forgiveness, you experience that all specific beliefs are completely untrue and so you are in a state of complete open-mindedness and acceptance. It is no longer possible to get into an argument because there are zero differences, zero opinions. Everything is you, now, in peace and joy. The perceptual dream is purified and that is the only dream there is.
David welcomes a group at the start of a weekend retreat and gives an overview of the spiritual journey. Topics include: purification of thought; oneness; pure, open-mindedness; letting go of dualism; devoted practice and the desire to be still and know God; innocence.
In this gathering in Toowoomba, Australia, David explores the question of one’s life purpose. He shares the teaching that it is not that you ask for too much of life, you ask for far too little. David shares a parable about his Australian friend Les, who has called upon Spirit for answers and received all that he asked for.
This is a clip from the May/June 2010 retreat at the Living Miracles Monastery on choosing the miracle, which is a happy, peaceful state of mind no matter what seems to be going on.
Have so much fun—like a child playing with sand—that you forget to have people thoughts. Pay no attention to the criteria of the world. Trust that Spirit orchestrates everything, and give joy away. Stop seeking more and rest in contentment. You are not a person; you are an idea in the mind of God.
The support of mighty companions in community is very helpful on this walk Home. Holy encounters with them remind you of the truth. In community, there is a soft, happy feeling of not needing to care for anything.
Happiness is a worthy goal, but not for the future; for you deserve to be happy (free) now. The present moment is the closest approximation of eternity. The ego just loves to worry about the future. “Buy gold now and save yourself,” it says. But what about the “Real Estate” of the present?
