Does it feel like you carry shameful sexual thoughts or guilty secrets? If you would know the holy instant, you have to have a willingness to hide nothing. Let’s get everything up and out and not have anything pushed down and repressed. This is for the whole universe! It’s important not to single out certain subjects and topics as better or more embarrassing or shameful than others. Anything that’s blocking the light needs to be released. Whether we talk about awkward thoughts or seemingly shameful thoughts, it’s the belief they are true where the guilt comes in.

You have been exerting a lot of mind energy trying to find love, freedom, happiness, and peace in the wrong direction: the world. Put all of your trust in the Spirit, and look closely and honestly at where your mind energy goes. What are you invested in? What are you putting your trust in? Nutrition, […]
The Atonement as referred to in “A Course in Miracles:” There is no hierarchy of illusions just as there is no order of difficulty in miracles. The power of God transcends any kind of belief in error or sickness. The Atonement is a different breed. Jesus speaks of it as being an unequivocal choice. The section in ACIM called “The Last Unanswered Question”gives four questions and points out that the fourth is different from the others. In order to experience who you really are, you have to be able to answer the last unanswered question.
“Do I want to see what I denied because it is the truth?” Spiritual vision was denied in order for this world to seem to arise. A shadow world, a world of images. The graven images referred to in the bible is the cosmos. God is Spirit, he creates in Spirit. The ego made all the images. The Vision of Christ is always available. It can seem to be a matter of time or a matter of readiness but what it comes down to is the willingness to see what has been denied to see with spiritual vision, which is what revelation is about.
A quick David Hoffmeister ACIM teaching on perception and beliefs. This gets right to the point! David Hoffmeister reminds us that everything we perceive is just symbolic of our own beliefs. Everything you perceive is there by your own decision. You’re seeing a motion picture of what you believe. And you can of course change that. David Hoffmeister uses the example of a Jesus Parade in Stockholm and a Jesus birthday party in the middle of summer in Cincinnati.
The Holy Spirit wants to show us that we have eternal life, although we are not aware of it. All we have to do is forgive all of our ego illusions so we can wake up from the dream of sickness, death, and separation to eternal life.
Fear is a getting-mechanism, whereas the miraculous life is about giving; you can only give what you have. It just takes practice to interpret situations in terms of love instead of fear. Don’t deny the negative things that seem to be happening; just accept that this is your perception, and ask for it to be changed. There is a tendency to see the problems outside yourself. Advanced mind training shows you that there actually are no problems. You don’t see the problems because you don’t believe in them anymore. Eventually, we begin to transfer/translate our mind training into everyday life and generalize the perception of love.
Right and wrong are the polarities of a dualistic mind. The ego will find numerous ways to keep the mind preoccupied with these kinds of external distractions. Arguing about “good and bad” ways of being can never bring about better behavior—personal or social. Whereas right thinking—or a peaceful mind—will lead towards knowing one’s true nature. The Atonement is the great undoing of all personal goals and behaviors.
In a world of opposites, forgiveness isn’t positive. In fact, “A Course in Miracles” states, “The miracle does nothing. All it does is to undo.” (T-28.I.1:1-2) So, we could even call a miracle a positive thing, in the sense that all it does is undo. The journey from the ego’s perspective is very disheartening, challenging, disconcerting, frustrating, irritating. In fact, a vast amount of the stages in the development of trust are very difficult to go through. With this forewarning, it is no surprise when the floor drops out and we experience intensity. But it is only inevitable that the floor will no longer drop. Eventually, we experience lasting stability in mind. This is no small gift.
Fear of experiencing miracles comes from our deep-seated unworthiness that we are not worthy of love. We need new experiences—miracles—that contradict our limited sense of self. We are afraid to drop the mask and experience our power because we think we misused our power and are afraid of experiencing it again. The ego would keep us small. So, “A Course in Miracles” reminds us of how worthy we are. You are worthy of experiencing miracles. The mind has a deep sense of being not worthy, but the Spirit is trustworthy and worthy of your trust in Him. The belief in being unworthy of love runs deep in the mind, but it is a worthy task to allow feelings of unworthiness to come up for healing. Healing is something you’re worthy of, and you can embrace your own self worth now.
