ACIM Meditation – I am upset because I see something that is not there. Nothing of this world resembles reality because the ego made up the world and the ego knows not of God. The ego is a hallucination and is only capable of making more hallucinations. That is why you cannot expect this world to tell you who you are. You can only be supremely happy if you know who you are and the Holy Spirit is the means to do so. The Holy Spirit is the bridge given us to escape from time and enter into eternity. Sink deep and allow this ACIM meditation to strengthen your connection with the Holy Spirit. “Today’s Workbook Lesson is giving us the chance to unpin, to unwind from the belief in being trapped in appearances. When our very identity of love of the living Christ, a perfect idea in the Mind of God, has been forgotten and completely pushed out of awareness, appearances seem to have come to take the place of love and light. This condition could be called hallucination. It is like when a thirsty traveler walking through a desert, feeling scorched, hot, parched and dry may hallucinate an oasis of shade and water. The sleeping Son of God has believed himself to be bereft of his holy Father, his creator. He finds himself lost and wandering in a desert of images, a desert of perception that God did not create: a fantasy world, a fictitious, linear stream of images that have nothing to do with reality, nothing to do with eternity, divine love and happiness. And so, the first step in healing from this apparent condition of separation is to realize that all upsets experienced are coming from a perception which is not there.”

ACIM Meditation – These Thoughts Do Not Mean Anything
These thoughts do not mean anything. Today we begin a practice of meditation. The workbook lessons are guiding us, helping us to train our minds to meditate. And the first three lessons are: “Nothing I see means anything,” “I have given everything I see all the meaning it has for me,” and “I do not understand anything I see.” These first three lessons are the very beginning of letting go of all meaning of what is perceived, all meaning of the linear perceived world of time and space. It’s like the first three lessons are opening the lid of a can, and then, as we peel that lid off, we are told these thoughts do not mean anything. So today’s lesson is the first lesson from Jesus that is addressing thoughts. The first three lessons’ addressed perception, and now, lesson number four addresses directly the thoughts of a sleeping mind. So, we now make the attempt to stop, and watch, and sink within toward “Be still and know that I am God”, toward the truth of our being. Move away from the temporary, the ephemeral, the fleeting, and inward towards certainty. Focus on this idea for today, “These thoughts do not mean anything.”
What Does Her Crying Mean?
When someone is crying, we usually perceive it as the release of deep emotions of sadness or joy. But the truth is that everything we see on the screen of the world was projected for the purpose of keeping us from knowing who we are. Separation is the name of the ego’s game, and perception is its playing field, and it relies on the “I-know” mind, the assumption that we know what things mean, to keep us in the game. The Holy Spirit wants to use perception instead for the purpose of bringing us back to a state of “unified playing,” which is the happy dream. Forgiveness is letting the Holy Spirit show you the world anew, after you have released all meaning that was given to the world.
A Parable of Unwinding
“A Course in Miracles” teacher David Hoffmeister shares about the rapid unwinding process that Living Miracles Messenger of Peace Frances Xu went through. It can seem like the spiritual journey would be easier if your life situation didn’t have many of the trappings of the world, such as marriage, career, mortgage, etc. But actually, it depends solely on the desire of one’s heart! So, no matter what your circumstances, step by step, at whatever pace you are ready for, the Holy Spirit will unwind you from this dream! Enjoy this profound parable of Awakening!
ACIM and Raising Children
Every symbol and image that you see with the body’s eyes is a reflection. When you look at a child, you can see the child as a mirror of your mind. Any grievances and limits you see in the child are within your own mind. If you are practicing ACIM and raising children, you see what is taking place in your thoughts. As children go through grade school and into high school, you can look at your own beliefs about authority, normalcy, education and success.
Looking beneath the Ego Sugarcoating
Love is inevitable! You can’t mess it up! As you go beneath the ego sugarcoating you can expect to become self-critical. The ACIM healing process is lead by the Spirit. The ego doesn’t know the way to the light; it doesn’t want to get to the light. Let the Holy Spirit lead the way. You are here to clear the underlying ontological guilt. Let the Holy Spirit guide you and unwind you in the process of regaining your happiness.
I Feel Betrayed
What can you do when you feel betrayed? The game of guilt, rage, and blame has gone on long enough! It’s time to end it. For David Hoffmeister, “A Course in Miracles” mind training helped him to see anger in a new way. David shares that in his own life, his biological father seemed to have a great deal of anger. He was able to really look at his perception of another body’s rage. It wasn’t anger directed at him. He saw that everyone in the world is doing the best that they can do within their belief system. Each body is just acting out a belief system; acting out a role as if it’s an identity.
Willingness
There’s nothing in the linear world that can inform you of your readiness for Awakening. The willingness is the first step, which is why most people can relate to being willing to follow Spirit throughout the day. Readiness comes after much willingness, and then mastery follows. The ego believes that mastery can be achieved by doing things in form to master their fear, but true mastery can only be achieved through Love—through following the Holy Spirit’s gentle and loving guidance without exception.
How Do I Live a Better Life in This World?
How do I live a better life in this world? How do I make more money? How do I stay young? All of these questions involve the world and the body. They are all defenses against Awakening. Every single question! Yet Jesus said in “A Course in Miracles” that there is one helpful question: What is it for?
What Is the Ego Belief System?
This world was made to reinforce guilt; its only useful purpose is forgiveness. We want to remove the obstacles to the awareness of Love’s presence. The popular acronym for ego is “edging God out.” More exactly, the ego is a death wish, it is the belief that there is no God, it is the belief that Love is impossible, and it is the belief in separation. Some people ask, “What is the point of the ego?” The only answer is the ego doesn’t have a point. In fact, being an illusion is being unreal. Reality is the point. The ego is a denial of Reality.
