Does spiritual awakening change relationships? As you move along a path of spiritual practice, what happens to interpersonal relationships? Another way to ask these questions is: Do you think in terms of persons and bodies?
As your perception shifts, you get to a turning point where you see that you can let go of everything you believe is true. The scariest thing for the ego is for us to start opening up to the Spiritual Vision of Christ which takes us past the body and interpersonal relationships entirely.
The ego says, “Eat, drink and be merry for one day we shall die!” The Holy Spirit says there is so much more. The Holy Spirit is taking us to a whole different perception of everything and everyone that we perceive; a way of opening to a deep intimacy to feel that deep Love that we’ve always known is there, a Love that includes everyone.
