You are an abstract idea in the Mind of God. The ego thinks it is a body and doesn’t understand abstraction. The body has nothing to do with perception, which is an activity of consciousness, or wrong-mindedness. It is all mind. Communication is thought. It is all mind. Telepathy is closer to real communication which is communion, knowing your Identity.
Within this dream of bodies and separation, you might think that you live in your body. You’re in the habit of thinking that you operate within a body, just like a driver in a car: you see through a body’s eyes and hear through a body’s ears. But perception does not depend on the body. Perception is an activity of consciousness or wrong-mindedness. The “mind-body connection” is really all activity of mind. There is no distinction to be made between a physical body and a non-physical mind.
