Linger not in time. Time is an illusion. You are not meant to live your life guarding against fearful outcomes. It is the ego that would hold you, guilty, in time. You will never be innocent as a human being.
You are spirit. You never really incarnated. The Holy Spirit shows you that there is no time and would not have you linger in it. It is meant to send us into the stillness before time was.
It is tiring to plan continuously when you are fearful of consequences. You believe you must do this and that to avoid a consequence. This keeps you in a place of defense, constantly shielding yourself from perceived problems.
A Course in Miracles teaches that you are guilty in time, but not in eternity. Guilt keeps time going. God did not create time, the ego did. The Holy Spirit can use time to get you out of time, but Spirit does not want you to delay. You are not meant to stay in time, playing around. “You do not belong in time. Your place is only in eternity, where God Himself placed you forever.” T-5.VI.1
If you will never be innocent as a human being, that gives you a great motivation to start to forgive! See that you are the dreamer of the dream. You are not a human being. Spirit does not come into matter.
In A Course in Miracles, Jesus reminds you of the delusional state you find yourself in when you think you are a human body that lives in space-time: “A timelessness in which is time made real; a part of God that can attack itself; a separate brother as an enemy; a mind within a body all are forms of circularity whose ending starts at its beginning, ending at its cause.” T-27.VIII.7 Mind is not inside a body; Spirit is not inside a body; a soul is not inside a body. You are limitless.
