Let the fear come up, feel its intensity, be with it. David recounts his showdown with the ego. The mind that desires peace prevails inevitably. Fear is cast out. Be of good cheer, for you have dominion over the world.

“Allow it. Let it come and don’t push it away or distract away from it, even if it is intense. Don’t try to deflect away from it. I always tell the story of when I was at the Peace House in Cincinnati. For me, fear started to come up and I lost my peace. I was sitting in a chair. I said to the ego, I’m not leaving this chair until you leave my mind. I’ve got nothing to do. Nothing else matters to me [more] than my peace of mind. But, my state of mind does matter and I’m not leaving this chair until you leave my mind.”
