A Course in Miracles teaches you that you must bring illusions to truth and not the other way around. You can not bring divine Oneness into form. The ego is tricky. You may be caught in the thought that you can bring Heaven to Earth, for the good of everybody. But there is no “everybody.” There is only you!
This simple statement, “I need do nothing” is a total threat to the ego. Having identified with the ego as being a doer, we place ourselves in an impossible situation. According to the ego we can never do enough to get the love that we seek.
