What would happen if we decided to have Holy Spirit answer all our questions as they came into our minds? Imagine that! Asking the One Who knows, instead of trying to answer hypothetical questions with an answer only we think is real?
“The ego is the questioning aspect of the mind. ‘What am I?’ This is the first question the ego asked because Christ never asked that question. What does that mean practically for us in this waking-up process? It means that you need to first take note of the questions.
What exactly are you questioning? If you are questioning things in this world, ‘Why did this happen to me? Where is this going?’ All the ‘how’ questions. ‘How do I live a better life in this world? How do I make more money? How do I stay young? How do I stay health in terms of the body?’ All those questions that involve the world and the body are all defenses against Awakening. Every single question. Yet Jesus said in the Course that there is one helpful question: ‘What is it for?’”
