The body is part of a self-concept we could call "the doer." The spiritual journey is a transition from being identified with the "the doer" to the experience of being "done through" by the Spirit in order to experience one's Self as Pure Being. Trying to meditate your way to this state can be "tedious and very time consuming," (T-18.VII.4:7-8,11) yet the willingness to be "done through" allows the Stillness to re-enter instantly and effortlessly. Such is the gateway to Joy and Pure Being . . .
