Clinging to family roles, like mother and daughter involves a lot of conflict.
As we progress on the spiritual path, parents learn their role is done; the hierarchy of control is over. Teenagers act out the private mind so you you can see it. As you let go of seeing their actions as personal attacks, you can reinterpret them as love or a call for love. When we let go of our unconscious thoughts that have been blocking us, it is a blessing.
