If you can choose the miracle, the need for exposing falls away. The Holy Spirit overlooks the unreal effects and their unreal cause (the ego). You accept the correction for the error. Ultimately, the attraction of love leads to ascension.
If you can see the true value of the miracle, then the need for exposing beliefs falls away. For example, Taoism uses many beautiful metaphors about nature, saying all streams and rivers merge into the ocean of Oneness. There is also the metaphor of the tree, with all its branches and leaves.
When you first go on the spiritual journey and your mind is untrained, you are just dealing with the leaves. It’s just a lot of leaves. When you are looking at beliefs and you hear this statement, you might think, There are a lot of leaves to work with. Take your Oneness somewhere else. I don’t want to hear about the oneness. I have leaves, practical leaves, that I need to deal with everyday.
Then, after a lot of work of dealing with leaves, you do find there are branches underneath. As you follow the branches in, they get bigger and bigger until you finally come to a trunk, a single trunk. Zillions of leaves and just one trunk. The closer you look, the closer you come to forgiveness, which is overlooking even the trunk.
